WOW- Donna the hippo was 61 years old. AWWW what a life she led.

That's really old for that kind of animal!

A similar situation happened in Denver.  The Denver Zoo had a polar bear named Velox.  They'd had her since for a long time, and for some reason, she was blind.  However, he would find apples, etc., that people threw to him.  He was very popular, and when he died, he was buried in a place of honor at the zoo.
