salmon bad?

I was reading the news the other day and read something about salmon being high in PCBs, a very dangerous cancer causing chemical. Besides humans eating this fish, salmon is also a big ingredient in pet food. Read this article, one of many available on the web, about farmed salmon and tell me what you think. I know its an issue for us, but what about our pets?

Looks like it's only in farmed salmon. I personally only buy wild caught and it looks like that's the safest way to go. Also, a Dr. in there said in moderation, it wouldn't harm you. Don't know about cats, but I wouldn't give farmed salmon to mine. Always better to be on the safe side.
