We got a feral female cat. originally I had four cats. Three of them are her first litter plus a stray female I rescued. Mami Kitty, is the way we called her. Mami Kitty had four kittens about five months ago at the site of my house. I was feeding her for about a year and she used to be close to my home. When we discovered the litter, the kittens were about one month. We managed to bring them into the house.
Mami Kitty is very protective of her kittens. My cats try to get close and she attacks constantly. my cats figure out a way to taggle together and retaliate as a team againts Mami Kitty. Now, she is all the time under the bed and everyday and I have at least one cat fight.

mami Kitty has been with us for about two months, the kittens still at home and I do not know how to avoid the figths.
any suggestions?

Easy. You must isolate the mom and her kittens from the others. Standard to do in all such situations..

If you dont have the practical possibility, get her at least a big dog cage, and have her and her latest litter in there...

Good luck!

Thank you very much.
The kittens are five months old and I decided to put them for adoption. They get alone with mu older cats and its no problem. Mami Kitty worries me because she is very attached to her babies. I will need a way to begin a separation plan. What do you suggest.?

Agree with Stefan - must keep mom and kittens away from the resident cats. In fact, if you can, I would keep mom in a small room all her own until she is spayed. Then you can begin socializing her and integrating her amongst your other resident cats once the kittens are in their new homes. If at all possible, don't know how much room you have :dk:, I would keep mom in one small room/bathroom and the kittens elsewhere in another confined location. Good luck with finding homes for the kittens. They are old enough not to also be neutered. I hope you can get that done before you adopt them out :cross: Have you contacted your local TNR organization to get some assistance on the neuter's? Will be very reasonable to get them all fixed by going through a TNR org. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
