I have a theory about this, but just wanted to hear if it sounds plausible. We feed Binky and Cookie raw, and occasionally, Cookie will throw up the contents of his meal. Every time he does this however, it has been that they just ate and immediately afterward Binky (his mama) wants to wrestle with him. They'll play around 10 minutes then Cookie will go over and vomit. Do you think that the wrestling soon after eating is the contributor? They don't ALWAYS wrestle right after eating, and those times he keeps the food down just fine.

Have you noticed a pattern in his throwing up as regards what protein he ate when he throws up? Our Sheldon has an issue with red meats. If I feed him a meal of only lamb, goat, or vension, he'll throw it up. But if I mix it with chicken, turkey breast, or pork, so it's 50% light meat, 50% red meat, he keeps it down. Beef, he can't keep down even at 50% so I just don't have it in rotation. Now, when he used to throw up a meal if it was red meat, it would be within a couple of minutes of finishing the meal, not 10 minutes later.

I don't know that the wrestling itself would do it though. Does he have issues with hairballs sometimes? I wonder if the wrestling stirs up a hairball and causes him to throw up - but he doesn't get the hairball up? :dk: Is there ever hair in what he regurgitates?

Eating foods that are too cold, eating too fast and eating too much are common regurgitation issues, and I think all three could be aggravated if they were immediately followed by hard play.

How often and how much do you feed? Can you keep a journal for a few weeks to see if there is a connection between length between meals (would point to an overly acidic tummy), eating too fast or too much at once, food that's too cold, a specific meat (watch out for enhanced products), wrestling afterward, etc.

Good luck! Regurgitation issues can be aggravating and sometimes hard to pin down.
