While administering subcutaneous fluids to my cat, I had made the tent to inject it but I didn't notice it came out the other side and hit my finger a little it.  I didn't take it all the way out because it would mean sticking him again.   Would this harm my cat in anyway?  If I had removed the needle I would've had to remove it the same way I introduced it and therefore sliding the needle under his skin and out.  My vet's gone for the weekend so I can't ask him...Can anyone answer this question?

Did you draw blood where you stuck yourself? If not, it might be okay, but the needles are sterilized, so is there any vet on call over the weekend while your vet isn't there? (Most vets have an emergency number to call if needed.) Or even call a vet ER clinic and ask a vet that is on call there if you can't reach anyone at your regular vet? I would think they would be happy to answer your question without charging you for it.
