How to socialize feral kittens?

They are very scared of me, and while I don't want to make them uncomfortable, I know very well that they need to be handled.

Thoughts?

Play! My first instinct with kittens is that, feral or not, they love to play! So I would get a kitty wand toy (or another type of toy which doesn't enable you to have to get close to the kittens) and just try to entice the kittens to play. Once they see you as a "big toy" (:lol3:), they'll begin to trust you more. Treats and canned food that have a very potent smell are key. If they understand that you are there to feed them, they will become more friendly with you.

Also, just an extra tip - I always try to give out "positive vibes" to ferals that I'm socializing. I don't know if it works, but cats are really sensitive creatures, and they do sense our emotions. I always try to make sure I'm sending out positivity (like "you'll trust me when you're ready") instead of negativity ("you'll never trust me!"). I hope that helps! :lol3: :vibes:
