Hi there,

I've been browsing this site for a while, and found some good advice here on a couple of occasions, so I thought I'd register and try to get some tips for our two kittens.

They're both just under one year old, Pims is a male tabby and Tia a tortie. They're both real healthy and adorable, although they can be a bit high maintenance sometimes.

We live in a house in Surrey (UK) so they get to enjoy the garden quite often, and currently trying to decide what kind of policy to adopt in terms of them going in and out.

Welcome!

In my experience, if you start letting them out they will hound you to keep it up.  Mine are indoor, with a newly made cat enclosure.  There are lots of options for safe outside experiences, and it's also fine to have them indoor only.

Where my cats are
Welcome to TCS!  From what I've seen...Tortis are always high maintenance!  Or maybe it's more that they always have attitudes!

All my kitties are indoor only.  I live on a busy street for a country road.  So mostly at rush hour times is when we have traffic; but the speed limit is high here.  My Mother lets hers out but they have been indoor cats only before this.  Mostly they stick pretty close.  I'd still rather not have outdoor ones; but it seems to help some elimination issues with one of the cats.  I think statistically indoor cats live longer.  If I remember reading correctly.

WELCOME!!!! Hope you enjoy your time here on TCS! AND we would love to see pictures :pix: of your kitties!! I have indoor only kitties. My outdoor cats are all feral. I think IF you start letting them out, they will constantly be begging to be let in and out. AND many danger's in the outdoors. We are also thinking of building an attached enclosure to the back of the house for our kitties. That way they can be outside but completely safe and sound. :D

Oh, man, that is just toooooooo cute!  I'd call her...well, I've heard the term "torby," although I'm not sure that's correct, either.

Hi there, welcome along to TCS :)

If you have any questions about the site please just send me a private message and I will be happy to help.

I'm also in England, in the North east, Newcastle area, both of mine are strictly indoors I have a large garden, but there's a lot of other cats on the estate and they all fight with each other its awful to watch :( and I live on a main bus route so its very busy so last thing I want is them hurt.
