its almost ten at night and i have no car. but the baby just stepped on kush! it was slow motion i just put her down and she like got all frisky and started running just as my daughter started running towards us and i couldnt move fast enough. she came down on her neck/head. kush gave a pretty good shriek and i grabbed my daughter off of her. i feel like such a horrible stupid person to let this happen! the kitten was leaning a bit at first like her neck was kinked so i grabbed her and was rubbing her and she relaxed and i held her for a long time just rubbing her and she was purring a lot (i read they do this when theure really distressed too?). so i put her down and she can walk but she seems real slow. i dont know if something is wrong internally or if she is jusy obviously sore and tired. she wants to cuddle with me and she is licking herself and just fell asleep. should i keep her awake like we would a human? im sorry if its an obvious question im just freaking out so bad! so please just give me advice i know i messed up majorly.

Could you call a cab or have a friend take you to an emergency vet? This sounds like a true emergency to me. She could be fine, but I would not take the chance.

Does your 75 year old grandmother have cab money?

Call an aspca or animal organization?

Where is your husband?

i Hope your cat is safe & well & gets checked out asap.

I truly wish your kitty well, contact an animal organization 1st thing in morning so they can go there & help you asap.

the kitten is fine. but as far as you telling me "its best to not make babies" how dare you. seriously. my husband works full time and is in the army reserves waiting to go agr and so we are inbetween on stuff right now and having a bit of trouble. not to mention my dad unexpectedly died at 50 years old and i have a $8000 funeral bill that his workers comp didnt take care of even though he died on his construction job.

so before you preach to me...i know i made a mistake. but **** happens. and just because someone comes up on hard times does not mean they always were or always will be tight on money thank you very much. idnever just pop out children for the hell of it if we didnt think we could support them. and i find it very offensive that you would wven throw that in my face when i could have let the kitten just rot in an alley way. it was a mistake. my daughter is great with her they both just moved at the same time..she nor i would haveever meant that kitten harm and i felt bad enough.

a little insight on checkin her temp, signs shes not doing ok, etc would have been more useful and a lot koreclssy than more or less telling me that i shouldnt be a mother. i understand getting upset that a cat is hurt by a dumb mistake...but to say something ao insulting and rude about a good parent is blatanly ignorant without knowing a persons circumstances. and since you think so lowly of me and my husband for having children on such a tight income i hope to hell u dont live in america because i can tell you right now he signed up to protect the people and gets paid **** to do it.

so courteously....:vibes:

Harshness aside, how is your kitty doing now? Is she still acting slow? Having trouble walking, eating or anything? Don't beat yourself up over this. Accidents happen!

shes ok. i think she is just a bit sore. still eating like a giant pig. she went potty in her litter box (we keep her in the tub with a towel down and a bed and water at one end and a box of litter over the drain at the other covering the towel) she is probably bruised under her fur. poor little baby. my daughter keeps giving her kisses. we told her she gave the kitty booboos. but she doesnt really understand much yet as shes only 15 months. but my pit bull is loving up on the kitten a lot and theyre snuggling and im just keeping her warm. her breathing seems fine shes still purring but she never stops..and i mean that literal. since i got her i havent been around her or had her picked up when she was not purring its crazy. shes walking ok but she dont really seem like she wants to too much...which i mean if shes sore i wouldnt either. i called the vet this morning and they had me check her gums and asked me the color of hee urine and she was good on those two levels. she didnt poop or pee when she got stepped on and no blood from her ears nose or mouth. and she didnt cry afterwards. it was just one squeal and after i rubbed her for a bit she was licking heraelf and had a bottle and everything so they said unless something changes she probably just needs rest. so im gonna keep her in my daughters room today because no one is ever upstairs. my daughter sleeps in our room in her playpen because its so hot and we only have an ac in our room and the living roomso...sh will be nice and quiet.

Well sounds like your doing great.  Just keep an eye on kitty to make sure no serious signs show up.  Kitty should be able to run, jump and play so if it is that's a great sign but it seems to lay around alot, not so good.  Good luck with everything, hope it's all fine.
