While Cuddles' tummy recovers from her diarrhea, Dr. Sonia has advised to keep her on a canned diet rather than commercial raw for a week. (Just so her system gets back to normal before she gets back on the raw bandwagon) and she's having problems enjoying her kitten food. :lol3: She loves Cookie's Weruva, but it isn't recommended for kittens. I've tried her on Wellness Kitten and Royal Canin Kitten and she hates them both. :( I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a picky mini-feline?

I sometimes have to feed my kitten adult ct food. Otherwise she won't eat and I don't want her on dry kitten food.

Dr. Sonia said she just wants to make sure that Cuddles' tummy is 100% back to normal so she can process the raw food like she was before. She gave me Science Diet Kitten to feed her but there is no way I'm feeding that.

The only reason to believe Science Diet is very good is you don't know what is in it. They use byproducts, meal, BHA, BHT, ethoxiquin, grains many cats are allergic to, and other useless ingredients that make cats sick and fat. SD is not the worst food, but nobody who knows what our cats need - meat, meat, and more meat - would say it is very good.

Maybe an all-life-stages canned food. Most are appropriate for kittens, Weruva is just too low in calories, though. EVO 95% might be good. It's high fat and seems pretty palatable.

If it comes down to just getting food into her, I've found that Fancy Feast Kitten seems to be well-liked. And the ingredients aren't terrible.

What about By Nature 95% meat or Nature's Variety Instincts foods? (Just pick out the peas and carrots). I know they're not specifically kitten food, but I think they're for "all life stages." ?

Do you really need to pick out the peas and carrots? I know cats can't use them, but because kittens are still growing, they can't get fat on those extra calories.
