If anyone is interested in a rather good series of warlock/sorcerer books, check out the above link.  You have to read them in order because it is a series, so you need the knowledge from the prior books to really understand what is going on. Plus each book is named for a character in the series and while it includes all characters, the focus if mostly on the character for that particular book.

It's a "teen" book, but Michael Scott is an excellent Author and knows how to draw you in.

I have the epub books if anyone with an eReader wants to read them.

I just finished the final book. I have to say that I was very confused.  So if anyone else is reading this series and has read "The Enchantress", please feel free to send me a PM and explain it all to me!  LOL

Do you really want it all explained?  It's a time travel paradox, for starters.

***********SPOILER**************

1.  From what I understand, they went back into the past to change history.....the present.  So if that is the case, why were some of the characters fighting in both time periods at the same time..... IE: Mars, Aunt Agnes, and Prometheus.  If they were changing history, why would they need to fight in the present to save San Francisco; history was changing so the monster threat would have been irrelavent.

2.  The boy turned into "Death" in the end.  Was he the Death,  that met Dee on Danu Talis?

3.   The Flammels at the end said it would be nice to lay in their purchased graves in Paris.  Then "Death" (Josh) shows up and takes them to Paris.  Yet in his letter to his sister he says that the Flammels attended the wedding of Niten and Aolie and send their regards.  If the Flammels died, how did they attend the wedding?  Did Josh/Death give them strength and restore their physcial appearance (like Death said he could do for Dee)?

4.   Sophie spent 700 years in the past helping humans (one normal earth day), then she returned to the present, the day after the monster battle.

5.   Sophie seemingly can go back and forth in time and between shadowrealms (she returned from one with "Aunt Agnes), so why wasn't she at Niten and Aolie's wedding?

6.    If history was changed, are all of the Elders that died in the present, really dead? Aunt Agnes died in the present, but is alive in the past.  Mars died in the present but is alive in the past.

7.    Prior to destroying Danu Talis, when Josh is reading the book, it says that he has to keep it safe because he will be selling it to a bookstore.  So does that mean that in 10,000 years Nicholas will again get the Codex and everything from books 1 through 6 will once again occur, with all of the same chacters again?

The history they were changing was an alternative history, and the present they were from was an alternative "shadow realm."  Isis and Osiris had commissioned Dee to wipe out humanity in the modern world, perhaps because of their natural animosity to humans.

2.  The boy turned into "Death" in the end.  Was he the Death,  that met Dee on Danu Talis?

Yes, one and the same.

Perhaps.  But, again, he may have just transported them back to their original time.  Remember, he had yet to sell Nicholas the Codex.

4.   Sophie spent 700 years in the past helping humans (one normal earth day), then she returned to the present, the day after the monster battle.

As I said, much of it is a time paradox, so it might not make sense.  Clearly, Josh/Death was traveling back and forth in time, being sure that everything came out as it should.

LOL, I guess my brain is just to logical to grasp such an absurd/abstract story. I  never really understood the time travel stuff on Star Trek either. Though it made more sense to me than this last book did.

Have you read the Harry Potter books?  Remember the time travel in one of them?  Same deal; Hermione may have actually seen herself.

But the deal with Death and the twins is that they were the actual twins of legend; Josh did not become Death, he was always Death.  I'm sure he went back and watched Isis and Osiris pick him up as a baby, and Sophie, too.

By the way, I had a favorite character in the books.  It was Scatty.  How about you?

I'm partial to Billy the Kid.  He was always good for a laugh, lol

I'm sad that the series is finished though. I really loved those books.
