I have a voucher on the way to get him neutered and we are clearing out the spare room today for him to stay in. Trixie is coming round to the idea that he is staying. She doesn't seem to be upset with me any more, only slightly weary of me today after stroking George this morning.

George is looking much better today :) he is starting to get a tummy and his fur is much more shiny.

He is, he very rarely wanders off now, he shows up at 9 for breakfast when I feed the others then hangs around most of the day, if he wanders off he is always back by 6 for tea :) I feel a bit bad he only gets two meals a day. The girls and Manson only get two meals but they have dry out to graze on and I cant put dry out for George or all the other cats would have it. There are a lot of cats roaming the area but George is the only one that didn't have a home. Can't wait to officially add him to our brood :)

I got up later than normal today and George wasn't waiting for me and he hasn't shown up yet all day. I know I'm worrying over nothing but after seeing him every day its strange that hes not here. I hope he has just found somewhere warm to settle or maybe he found someone else to feed him :) I'm sure he will be back.

So I may have found Georges mummy. Looks like he got out 9 weeks ago just after they had moved and he wandered to the other end of town to show up here. Hopefully he will be able to go back to his mummy who misses him, although I will be sad to see him go. :(

Certainly had a lot to catch up on here tonight with George!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW - you found his mom...:clap::clap::clap::clap: Do you think she will get him neutered? Maybe give her the voucher to get him done. That really is great news, though. He looks just like a feral I socialized a few years back - Coal. Big head like that and beautiful piercing gorgeous eyes. AND just when Trixie was getting used to him :lol3: Well - I hope all turns out well for George. You did a great job caring for him. :hugs: GOOD luck to George and hope he doesn't get out anytime soon and that his mom will get him neutered!!! :cross: :vibes::vibes:

He is looking a lot better already, I'm glad I found his mum now he is looking healthier. Just waiting for her to get back to me about coming to see/get him then I will offer the voucher for neutering.

It's such a great feeling helping a poor stray find his home, deffinatley going to look into fostering now instead of waiting, since it only took Trixie just over a week to warm to the idea of him I think she can handle me fostering much easier than I thought she would. I'm so happy

He is deffinatley rounder :) his bald patch on his back is nearly gone and he is much happier, curled up on my knee again today, boping my chin with his nose and paddling and purring away. Not heared back from his mummy but I'm guessing she could be waiting for Monday to contact me. Apparently he is a Norwiegen Forest cat, which could be why he isn't neutered, if he was a stud. But I will offer the voucher when she gets in touch again.

So, Georges mum was supposed to be coming round today to see/get George, its only 4:30 but so far no sign, not heard from her either starting to think she might not be coming. She didn't seem too bothered when she phoned to arrange coming.

So Georges possible mum came round, not his mummy :( So George is staying a little longer. A few more days of searching for his owners then a trip to be neutered and I think its safe to say he will be staying.

OH my!!! I miss a day and so much changes in the adventures of George! So, his mom is NOT his mom after all. Sorry about that OR maybe that is what you want :lol3: Guess you have a new boy :D :clap::clap::clap: So Trixie adjusting to George was not in vain :lol2: You must tell Trixie that George is most likely staying for good. ;)

Well I was half hoping she would be his mum so he could go home, and half hoping she wasn't so he could stay :)

I think Trixie will come round to the idea faster than my boyfriend, who keeps telling me that 3 cats is enough and we don't need a fourth. But I'm not just going to leave George out on his own. Poor boy

I'm so glad I can help him, he needed help when Manson brought him home.

He is booked in to be neutered tomorrow morning. Then the slow introduction stage begins

I totally get that "torn" feeling about them staying or them going. :lol3: I always tell myself that how ever it works out, it was meant to be. :D AND yeah, my hubby said FOUR cats was too much. Well, now we have SIX. :lol2:

Excellent!! Hope surgery goes well as I am sure it will :). Take things SOO very slowly and don't feel rushed at all. Slower is better when introducing kitties. You want their first experiences to be good ones and not forced or rushed in anyway. That will build the foundation for the making of good relationships between them to last a lifetime. Good luck !!!!!!!!!!:vibes::vibes::vibes:

Well the plan was to take him in this morning, but as if he knew where he was going he wandered off yesterday lunch time and hasn't been back since. Hope he shows soon.
