Am I worrying for nothing?

I think my other cat(Sangha) is sick now because he didn't eat anything at all today. He's still drinking but he didn't eat a single bite not even when I gave him the option for dry food.

He's also started having sneezing fits like Titan. Do cats usually go a full day without food? Mine never do so that's why I'm worried but my boyfriend thinks I'm being paranoid about everything they do ever since Titan got sick.

No hon, you're not being paranoid. I feel a vet visit is in order as soon as possible. He could have an obstruction from something inedible that he swallowed e.g. string, plastic, paper; most anything can cause a blockage. My boy, Abby, once swallowed the plastic tip off a doorstop when he was younger. Oy.

Any other symptoms besides the sneezing? Lethargic? Not peeing or pooping? Vomiting? Restless? Lip licking?

You can try assist feeding him pureed (just use a blender), watered down canned food using a small needle-less syringe or from a dropper (mine prefer the dropper and will sometimes just lick from it), as kitties should not go for long periods of not eating or they can develop hepatic lipsidosis (fatty liver disease) quite quickly. You could also try meat baby food such as Gerber and Beechnut (without onion powder or broth as cats can have serious problems with anemia when fed onions).

What happened when Titan was sick? What did the vet say?

Is this the kitty that had the lab work done recently with no definitive diagnosis? Just possible CRF/CKD and/or diabetes?

Yes Titan is the one w no diagnosis yet but they did put him on antibiotics since his white blood cell count was high. So far today Sangha's symptoms are just the sneezing, not eating and he does seem a bit more sleepy. I'm taking Titan for his ultra sound at noon tomorrow so I will see if I can get Sangha in to see the vet after that. UGH do cats get the flu?

Is it possible that some of these symptoms could be some delayed reaction to their vaccines? Titan had his last Friday and Sangha had his on Monday. Sry I'm asking so many questions I'm just trying to think of every possible scenario.

Sneezing + fasting = sick kitty if it goes on all day. It could be a URI, which causes the cat to lose his sense of smell and therefore not want to eat.

The timing of the vaccine is a bit curious, eh? Was the vaccine intranasal (in his nose)? Or a shot?

Were the vaccines for "cat flu": feline herpes virus - FHV - and feline calicivirus - FCV?

No worries about asking questions.
You're just being a good kitty parent!

Is a URI contagious? Could Titan have passed it to Sangha?

.
It says Rabies & FVRCP shots, not intranasal.

Sometimes I think I make my anxiety worse by googling things. I just read that the rabies vaccine can cause reactions like seizures, loss of motor skills, and liver & kidney damage

You were right! I took Sangha in today and the vet we saw said it was URI. She wrote up a script for Clavamox, cyproheptadine, L-lysine(which I said I'd get on my own since they were overcharging for it). She said that I could give the cyproheptadine to both cats but it hasn't worked out so far for either. I told the vet trying to give a pill wouldn't go over well so she suggested that I crush it and mix it with water and give it to them with a dropper. I tried that and aside from alot of it spilling, Sangha threw it up. But since he hasnt eaten in 2 days it looked more like foaming at the mouth because it's basically dry heave mixed with crushed pill. I feel so bad for them both. I was really hoping this med would help them eat but it's no good if I can't get it into their bodies.
