While getting my hair cut yesterday, the hairstylist and I were talking about how the heat was really making people cranky.

Does the weather affect you?

I'm much lazier in the heat. When the heat breaks I feel a burst of energy and am in a better mood. After days and days of rain, I felt myself feeling down also.

Even though I love the heat of summer, I think I get lazier as the days become more humid. When I awaken in the morning and it's raining, I could just spend the day doing nothing much at all. Rainy days are good days to snuggle with the cats and a good book. The cold days of winter with all the snow and ice make me so depressed. And when winter drags on and on (snow at the end of March, for example, or sleet and snow in April), there are days when I actually do break down and cry.....I depise winter with a passion.

Give me a sunny day in the mid-to-upper 80s with low humidity and I'm a happy camper. I don't want much, do I?

Yep. I actually hate hot summers. I find that my ambition goes completely out the window and it takes everything I can muster to get me doing anything. I also love rainy days - there's just something about a rainy day that I feel absolves me from havign to do anything productive.

Speaking from a work perspective, the heat definitely makes people cranky. I love cold grey winter days, I don't know why, but I find them calming.

Hot summers don't bother me.. but if it's really humid, I tend to be more out of it.

Heavy rainy days makes me feel lazy

Anything above 21°C/70°F is too hot for me and makes me cranky and lethargic. As long as it's not muggy, rain is fine with me.

I get lazy when its humid but still love the sunshine. It makes me happy. Rainy weather makes me grumpy, tired and sluggish.

The weather does affect my mood sometimes.  The heat makes me want to hurry up and get it done.  Cooler weather makes me lazier and I want to sit outside on the patio enjoying the weather

:yeah: LOVE IT!!!! Another cold weather gal :woohoo: I feel the same way about the temperatures over 70 degrees. Over 80 and I am getting cranky. SO you can imagine this summer.  It has been brutally and oh so cruelly hot :lol3:

Oh yes!!  Especially in the winter!  Big storms, like blizzards or hurricanes make me antsy.  Even thunderstorms.  After nasty weather is past I'm always more cheerful.  I generally feel happier in the spring and fall when the days are nice.  I tend to stay home when it's super hot or when we might have freezing weather in the winter.  It helps a bit.  But then sometimes; when we are having a good rain I relish the indoor time.  Esp if DH is home too.

I'm the same way. I actually like when it rains, (more so if I'm at home). Also the gey winter days too. I think I'm just a "nester,"  I like to be all cozy at home w/ my kitty.

I hate the winter, snow, ice, cold, etc.    I guess that's why we ended up moving to Florida from NY.    I'll take hot days over cold days any time.    Winter always depressed me -- and so did Fall, because I knew winter was coming.    Once in a while a rainy day is fine, great for watching a good movie on TV or reading a good book.     But too much rain depresses me also.    I love the blue skies, fluffy white clouds here in Florida.

This sounds just like me.  I think winter is the bleakest, drabest, most depressing time of the year.  I prefer color and sunshine over everything being all white and all brown like it is in the winter, and when people talk about the snow being "pretty" I have no idea what they see in it.  Another thing that bothers me is really big changes in temps.  For example, one day the high might be 75 and the very next day it will be something like 32...not healthy.

Florida here I come!!!!!

Well, this year the record heat has made me especially cranky since the heat seems to be affecting my internet access.

(No, I am not addicted to the net. *twitch* *twitch* )

Not usually, but this wretched hot weather since March is now getting to me.  My 15-year-old car's a/c has a slow leak, so it doesn't work properly. We have to keep dumping cans of Freon into the system.  It finally got to me yesterday afternoon. I'm so sick of getting sunburned through the windshield. It seems as every intersection has the sun roasting me alive in the PM when I drive home from work.  Yesterday was AWFUL.  I was soaked in sweat--a very rare thing for me. I had to shower when I got home. And, being a redhead, I really do get sunburned in the car!

I can't wait for Fall! It's my favorite season. I suppose I am really affected by the weather, as I get quite perky and energetic then. I must be part squirrel.
