I have allergies to but couldnt resist taking in kitty, i do find it makes my asthma worse so my meds were upped and im on pills, nasal spray and eye drops for allergies atm. Im fine with kitty now but the kittens not so much atm, im sure it will settle down, i dont fancy being on continous allergy meds. Probably doesnt help when i just have to cuddle the kittens because they arfe beyond cute lol!!!

She's gorgeous coloring, like two of my bottle babies I have right now. I'm glad you finally got some poo out of her, I know how worrying it is as I just went through the same thing with two of my bottle babies.

Yay for pitbulls and kitties!!! I actually started a thread here for picture of Pitties and their kitties, please feel free to ad some of yours!!!!

.....all over the carpet overnight. im not sure if she finally went by herself or if that was finally all coming out from the enema two days ago. it was literally a foot from the litter box and i put her in the litter box everyday so good thing i got to it before my hubby woke up because he dont even want her. but at least she finally went! yay!!!

a question though. she is only getting one bottle a day. her other meals she is getting from a shallow dish. her kitten glop and canned food. when she drinks her milk from her dish she gets her nose in it and then starts sneezing. does this mean shes too young to be drinking from a dish and not a bottle? should i go back to the bottle?

Wonderful that she pooped! Are you weighing her to ensure she is gaining? that is the only way to be sure she is getting enough. There is no harm in giving her another bottle until you are sure she is able to lap comfortably.

i dont have a scale that will weigh her =[ my scale iss too big. my friend has a scale for..some herbal supplements of hers but its waaaay too small. and i dont have a car to take her to the pet store alll the time. shes getting pretty chunky..and she seems to be doing well. shes getting playful and follows me around now. but shes crying more? she comes up tovme and cries until i pet her. but i pet her alllllll day. i think i may have gave her too much attention and now thats all she wants. she wont leave you alone now u til you rub her head and back for a good while. and im starting school the 30th. only four hours a day four days a week...but hope she doesnt meow too loudly while im gone.

so...how can i make kush go potty in the litter box? i have a small tray with barely any side so its easy for her to get in. i chanhed litter from clumping to non clumping and i put her poo in the litter "box" but she keeps pooping on the carpet! im not seeing any pee but obviously only because its probably so small. and she steps all in it and gwts it squished in my carpet and all over her. =[

Stimulate her after eating by rubbing her belly and anus gently and then put her on the box - she will get the idea. You can also take her paw and help her to scratch the litter - the action of doing that is a stimulant to her going potty.

i was doing that over the litter box. and lastnight i put her in the bathroom with the litter and she didnt go at all and she looked like she was goinf to bust so i hurry and stimulated her and she went a lot. is this normal for sometimes for them to go by themselves then go back to needing to be stimulated back and forth like this?

She may just still be too young to do it completely by herself. I would relax and keep helping her, with the litterbox always there so she associates it witht he action. She will get there, they all do eventually.

well...now that we got kush to go all heck has broken loose. her poos have been a little on the soft side after all that blockage and tonight i went out for the first time in a veerryyyy long time (the wives and mommas will understand haha) and a friend watched the kitten for me. well i came home and there was liquid poo everywhere and so i took her down to feed her sinc i thought she might like a middle of the night treat and when i stimulated her she squirted liquid out her bum? =[

now what?!? i dont have another $130 to dish out in one week for another vet visit. i wish i did. i just dont get itm its like one issue after another. and she has been playful and alert and cuddly. she hasnt seemed any different. shes been getting better at moving around and getting adventurous and now this?

Oh dear, that is frustrating. I can't remember - are you giving her cow's milk? That can upset kittens' stomachs because of they have lactose sensitivity. I use goat milk for young kittens, or Greek yoghurt diluted. You can usually find both in good supermarkets. It might be worth a try.

i coukdnt find goats milk anywhere. i had to use evaporated milk, yogurt, mayo, karo syrup, pedialyte, 2 jars baby food turkey, two jars kitten food turkey, 1 pkg knox gelatin.....and i cant remmeber if there was anything else....and i strain it and freeze part of it and keeep the rest in glass babyfood containers in the fridge just enough so it dont go bad.

shes using the litter box now if i put her in it. but she will onlynusenthe adult litter box wjth the big sides with a towel over it. she likes her privacy. she wont use either of the other pans i have for her and they have two different sizes. i just woke up so im about to go check on her to see if she pooed any solids. she does eat some a/d canned food per the vet a little. but they had me giving her laxatone. i stopped giving her that yesterday since they said its almost like a stool softener abd maybe since she was going regular the day before maybe that had a little to do with it? she was a tiny bit sluggish yesyerday morning but then yesterday evening went crazy running around playing. was the most playful yet. she even did a face plant on the carpet because she tried running way faster than her little legs could go lol. poor baby.

trying! i picked up innova hard food for her. i figured while she is weaning i can soak it/blend it with kitten glop and then when shes weaned she can have that for food. is that good or is there a bette choice?

Agreed wet is better but if you do go dry look for a food that is 100% grain free and does not contain any meat by-product or corn gluten meal. The first few ingredients should be a whole meat (chicken meal, salmon meal, whole chicken, ect). Acana wild prairie, Wellness CORE, and Blue Buffalo BLUE are all good grain free dry foods. I believe (but double check the bag) that all 3 are also an "all life stages" food, meaning there is no separate kitten formula. I am not familiar with Innova but I looked up the ingredients in their kitten food and it actually doesn't look too bad. I think there are better but it's certainly not near the worst.

It also sounds like she would like a covered litterbox. They aren't too expensive and will give her the privacy she wants.

Sounds like you are making really good progress- keep it up!

the covered litter boxes are so big lol and she cant get in them. but she finally is starting to go in the medium sized on and i think she might be able to scramble in that one. the people at the pet store said the innova was better than the blue? because those were the two i waa going in to look at. guess ill do some more research! =]
