Ok, so you are all nutrition pros here, and I am looking to feed my cats the best possible food short of raw (my own schedule is too crazy to not feed kibble). The 3 foods I am interested in currently are EVO, Orijen and my current food Blue Buffalo Wilderness.

Which of these is best? I am not happy to see loads of veggies in all 3, as I believe cats need mostly meat and not vegetable and grains. However I like Orijen a lot for their hormone free stance.

Opinions, comments, experiences with these 3?

I am NOT an excerpt in cat food nutrition, all 3 of the dry foods you listed I do use in my dry food rotation ( i feed approx. a 25% dry & 75% canned/wet) and if  hard pressed to choose only one I would go with the Orijen. IMHO Champion ( the makers of Orijen ) are far more trustworthy and since it is made in Canada it has a much higher quality ( chicken meals, fish meals and the like are tightly controlled ) or one would hope due to the Canadian FDA ( sorry dont know the exact title).

Just wanted to add that I answered in your other post about fish good or bad, and fish can cause issue in some cats. ( it's a mineral imbalance due in part from the bones in the fish) If your cat/s have had a crystal blockage uti or other bladder problems consult with your cat care adviser before feeding a fish heavy dry food. The dry foods that you are looking at are quite good, my cat likes all of them.

If your referring to dry food, than I would go with Orijen or Evo. Blue Wilderness is just way too high in carbs for my liking, more than the other two. Personally if I had to pick a dry food, I would go with Innova Prime = low carb, high protein and few ingredients.

I hope you plan on feeding wet as well, since dry is very dehydrating by itself.

Hope I helped!
