Hello everyone! We just wanted to introduce ourselves. My name is Rita, and we also have Isabella (Bella), Snarf, Bauer, and Teagan, There's also Cedrick. (He's really a 6yr old yorkie, but he thinks he's a cat, so we won't tell him any different. LOL!) Just wondering if any of you have ever had a cat that has a blackish discharge coming from it's nose? Teagan, our 4mnth old Maine Coon mix, has just that. My daughter took her to the vet the other day, and again yesterday, and they're just dismissing it, but i think it's interfering with her smelling her food, and she's not eating very well. She would rather nurse off of Bauer, who is her mom, but they are both also 'nursing' worms, so the vet advised against letting the kitten nurse. Anyone have any ideas? At this point, we're open to any suggestions.

Welcome to TCS!

My Mooch often has what looks like a dried, black booger at the edge of one nostril.  I've honestly never thought that it might be something I should ask the vet about.  I'll have to do that the next time I take her in.

I'm not sure about your kittens.  I would ask in the Pregnant Cats and Kitten Care Forum. (http://www.thecatsite.com/f/36/pregnant-cats-and-kitten-care)  The folks over there will be better able to help.  And it'll help your question get seen faster.  You could also ask about the nose problem in the Cat Health section.
