decided to get rid of those socks that are pairless. After a couple years, I have a pile of 26 single socks that do NOT have matches!! Where did they go?!?

I wonder where all the socks go.

I cannot begin to count the ones I have lost, where are they(lol).
I put a pair in the dryer and one comes out. Does not seem like its the washer that is the culprit, always the dryer.

That what happens to me. Except I'm too lazy to sort through them so every year I toss them all out and buy new socks.

In our phonebook people are sorted by their first name, I thought in the UK, people were sorted by their last name, not number of feet...

I have no idea where missing socks disappear to, but someone even started a website about this problem. LOL!!!! http://www.funbureau.com/

The name of the site is Bureau of Missing Socks, and here's what my internet yellow pages has to say about it.

Finally support has arrived for the matching sock deprived among us. The Bureau of Missing Socks is the first organization "devoted solely to solving the question of what happens to missing single socks." It explores "all aspects of the phenomemon, including the occult, conspiracy theories, and extraterrestrials."

Where do the socks go when I do the wash?
I open the lid and theyâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]re gone?
They donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t seem to be anywhere in the house
And theyâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]re not laying out on the lawn.

I remember quite clearly of stuffing the pairs,
In the laundry basket out in the hall
But when the cycle is over and the water has drained
I simply canâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t find them at all!

Itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s really a puzzle and one I canâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t solve
Thinking about it makes my brain waves go flat
But that is when I suddenly recall
that in the laundry basket also were cats!

So I go on a second search of my house,
This time on my hands and my knees
And there underneath our master bed
Is a pile of socks I can seize!
