Our boxes get cleaned once sometimes twice a day, A big part of our cat's day is waiting for them to be cleaned and then using them. How can I deny them that pleasure.

Mine too!. Because of Aya's tendency to whizz elsewhere and Midori's tendency not to bury hers we also scoop once or twice daily. I swear if their around at least one of them comes to "supervise" and then to test drive it immediately after. I wonder how they know. Maybe its the smell you kick up by "stirring it up" so to speak that gets them interested?

:lol3: Well, I am home most of the day right now and I am my cat's automatic litter box scooper. I probably scoop about four times a day!! I have five large open boxes too. They like it clean and so do I!! :D

I dunno...you could keep them going all day in the automatic ones!
My RB girl Tiger would get in before you were done cleaning.  I've always wondered what she would have done with an automatic box.  My 2 love theirs.  Noodles prefers to 'hover' over it rather than step in.  The edges are nice and wide and sturdy, so good for it I guess.

Such cute kittys!!!
I have 4 indoor cats and decided to plunk down $189 for the Littermaid deluxe auto litter box.  Well, I guess it's okay but certainly not for a multi cat household.  Went back to the regular.   I have 5 litter boxes in the house that are scooped at least 1 time daily but wanted to see if the auto would work.  I would recommend it for a household with 1 or maybe 2 cats but no more than that.
