Over the river and through the woods...
My 25th class reunion is coming up in 2 weeks, and I'm already nervous about it. It's actually the 3 local high schools getting together for it, so even though it's pretty informal, there should be a lot of people. The last one I went to was the 5th and it was kind of pointless. I mean, most people really don't change that much or accomplished that much in 5 years. Now, 25 years? That's a different story!

Today's question: Have you been to a high school reunion and, if so, did you have a good time?

I went to the 5th and the 10th because I was still living close to home and was curious to see who would go.

The first one was nice and I had a good time because I knew most of the people there.  At the 10th the people that I wanted to reconnect with were not there.  I hardly knew anyone and did not have a very good time.

Since I moved away I have not been to any more.  Someone e-mailed pictures from the 20 or 25th and I did not know who any of the people were.  So I guess I haven't missed anything.

See, there were only 103 people in our graduating class, so I know everybody. I may not LIKE everybody, but I know them.

Never been to one. I don't even know if my school does them. I've never heard of anyone going to one at my school. I wouldn't care to see most of the people I went to school with.

Nope - never went to any of mine :lol3: I still stay in touch with a couple of friends though. Just never was interested in going to the reunions.

No. I do go to Rick's reunions, though. I have to because he's on the committee and he has to be there and he's usually the MC for the reunion. And his take is that if he has to go, I have to go, too. My BIL and Rick graduated together, so it's not too bad. My sister and I hang out while the guys are doing reunion stuff (pictures, chatting, etc.).

I didn't go to school. But my parents both grew up in the Panama Canal Zone, and every year they have a big reunion in Orlando. Not just for class reunions (although they do have individual things for each class), but for everyone who ever lived in the Canal Zone. My parents go about every 3 years. Ii haven't been able to go with them yet, but I will someday.

We went to my 5th year one, but live way too far away now to have attended others. We went to my husband's 25th class reunion. His class was so small in comparison to mine (863)! Both were a lot of fun.

I went to my 10th and had a good time.  Not a lot of people showed up; some claimed they didn't know about it.  Apparently we left the planning up to pretty much one person and it was a lot for her to handle.  She doesn't even live nearby.  I was pregnant when I first heard about it and didn't want to commit myself to something I couldn't follow through with.  I feel bad about that now!  I'm still thinking some who missed the announcements just really don't pay attention to what goes on around them.

My Grandpa went to his 70th class reunion a few years ago!  He said there were a lot of old people there.
