Has anyone tried Dave's Canned Cat Food? I couldn't find threads. My picky eater loved it. Opinions?
The veggies aren't really beneficial to cats, and the carrageenan isn't a good ingredient. But I'm sure it would be fine if it was included in rotation!Turkey, Chicken Broth, Chicken Liver, Chicken, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Guar Gum, Carrageenan, Cranberries, Blueberries, Zucchini, Potassium Chloride, Dicalcium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Taurine, Iron Proteinate (source of Chelated Iron), Beta-carotene, Zinc, Proteinate (source of Chelated Zinc), Vitamin E Supplement, Choline Chloride, Cobalt Proteinate (source of Chelated Copper), Folic Acid, Manganese Proteinate (source of Chelated Manganese), Niacin, Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Potassium Iodide and Biotin.
When I requested a sample last year, they were actually very prompt in sending it. I'm sorry that you never received yours
Please be aware that when you call them and ask for a sample , they say they will send it and never do!. I wanted sample to try for a cat with urinary tract problems . Have been feeding Science Diet UR. Looked to see comparable found this , they say is better. Bought a case on Jet.com. waited 10 days for sample it never came, and nowhere around my area sells product. I have 5 cats from 1 year old to 20, and not one likes the stuff, I have mixed it with other food and added water, none will eat it. Amazing to me on Daves site you can not review his products , that should be a tell tale sign for all interested . Stay away i am stuck with 23 cans
Seems like an Italian diet for cats there.I googled it. It's grain free, so that's good.

Sorry that is my mistake, for some reason the one I bought happened to not have any carrageenan just guar gum. Most of the other flavors as I see do in fact have carrageenan still. But the flavor "Grain-Free Tuna & Chicken Dinner in Gravy Canned" does not.I feed Dave's Cat Food Shredded Chicken Dinner to Olive. This flavor does not include Carageenan, but from the ingredient list on Chewy it looks like all of the other flavors do.
torbiesarebest - are you referring to the new "Cat's Meow" line on their website? Looks like those are the carrageenan-free ones, I hadn't seen them until today. I'm always looking for new options...
My little girl is only lightly finnicky but she took to the Dave's flavor I mentioned above immediately. But I made sure to fill her up as a kitten (she was a tiny little runt) with as wide a variety of whole foods as I could from egg yolk to raw shrimp to high-end varieties like Wellness, Weruva etc. So she would increase immunity and appreciate all sorts of foods later on.I've tried Dave's several times with different cats--but none of them would eat it.
I suspect that once they've tasted Fancy Feast, their palate has been ruined for better food--at least that's been my experience.
Wow I didn't even know they had a Cat's Meow Line unless I didn't notice it on the can. I was referring to the Grain-Free Tuna & Chicken Dinner in Gravy, the others Ive seen all see to have carrageenan. Looks like they have a whole lot of flavors out!!torbiesarebest - are you referring to the new "Cat's Meow" line on their website?
