Hello!!

I just came back from a short vacation for three days. I had to leave my cat at home alone because my families are far away from where I live. I made sure that there was enough food and water and cleaned her litter box before I go. However, when I came home, I noticed that she has stopped licking/cleaning herself. She sometimes pee/poop on the floor. Also, when I rub her back, I hear this weird noise that I have never heard before. It is like squeezing water done a rubber pipe.. Do you know what might happened to her??? Any advise would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Thanks!

Some times cats will go potty on the floor when the people are away for more than a day. Trying to help you smell your way home :tongue2:. But if you think it's more than that, you should take her to the vet. Is she eating and drinking properly?

My husband and I went away for less than 48 hours and had my brother stop by in that time to check on the 2 cats, feed them, and play with them. When we came home, River was just fine, but Miles was very upset about us having left him alone for so long and started peeing on the floor and not eating normally. This only lasted for about 2 days until he realized we were home to stay and then he went back to normal. Your kitty may just be stressed - does she normally like a lot of human contact? Those are the ones that miss you the most!

It's impossible for anyone to be able to tell you what's happened.
If she continues to go outside the box and if she seems unwell you need to take her to the vet as that's a sign of health issues.
