Tyrion was found dumped on a busy highway.  2 siblings perished from being run over.  3 more died from heat exposure later. Tyrion is doing very well, though!  I estimate him to be 4-5 weeks old.  He eats like a piggy and uses the litterbox like a pro, though!  He is a little ball of energy and trouble, too!  Very sweet and loves to cuddle, as well!  He's going to be small... He's even small for his estimated age.  My vet thinks he may actually be 7-8 weeks old which makes him even smaller than he should be... But he's a little fighter and survivor!  I thought it only right that I name him after the little person on "Game Of Thrones" because of this.... So far, he lives up to his name!

Tyrion says "hello!"

Climbing on my shoulders, one of his favorite things... Loves to climb!  He even climbs the big cat tree with no fear!

Making nice with Morgan La Fay

Tyrion... So cute and fiesty

With King Arthur

Loves to cuddle

There is nothing sweeter than a Red Boy. Looking at these pictures reminds me of when I rescued Tolly :rbheart: . Tolly was barely 5 weeks old, just a scrap of red fur.

I don't understand the name reference but it sounds like a good strong name anyway. His fur is so funny it looks like he is having a static attack! :lol3: Is it always standing straight out like that?

May you have many many happy years together!

Yes, his hair is always sticking up like he electricuted himself!!

Tyrion Lannister is a character on the show and in the book saga "Game Of Thrones"... He is a dwarf and has red hair.  He is very fiesty and cunning but also very sweet and sincere.  I thought it fitting for this kitten!

I hope you post lots of stories and pictures about Tyrion. I miss having a Red Boy around so much and I intend to enjoy Tyrion vicariously. He is clearly one of the Special Ones :heart3:

Ohhhh!!! What a perfect name for this little guy!!! I think Tyrion is my favorite character in all of the "Song of Ice and Fire" books!! He's a definite survivor, and this little kitty fits that description! Bless you for taking him in!

I think your vet may be right about his age.

Check this out--

Look at the kittens' facial structure and their body posture, taking into account that your newly rescued kitten is smaller and skinnier than these well-cared-for kittens who've had a home since birth. He seems too graceful to be as young as you first thought, and his posture is more balanced and his eyes more alert.

I think maybe he has simply not grown as fast as other kittens his age, and will catch up in another few weeks. I don't think it matters how old he is exactly; medical treatment for kittens is based on body weight, and whether he's small or young mightn't matter, so long as he keeps growing.

But he's enormously cute, however tiny he is! There's just something about orange boys. I wonder if he'll lose the kitten fuzz and grow into a short-haired cat, or maybe get a little fluffier and have a medium-length coat? His face is very expressive. I bet he's going to be a demanding one when he's grown!

My Tyrion definitely takes a lick and keeps right on ticking!  He amazes me how strong and determined he is, especially with that tiny and scrawny body!  Very much like his namesake from the show and the books!
