I found out a few hours ago that my beloved Uncle Jack had a stroke, with a blood clot in his brain, and weakness on one side. He's always been such a go-getter, and my totally whacky, fun, Uncle "Jack-a$$." You would never know he is close to 80. I am devastated, but Laurie (LDG)
suggested I post here for prayers and healing vibes. So here I am, stuck in Iowa while he's in NM, just waiting for word on how he's doing. They said that the first 24-hours are the most crucial.

Would y'all please pray (if you are so inclined) for my Uncle Jack and send as much healing energy his way as you can in the next coming hours?

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you so much for the healing vibes and prayers, Lauren and Jen. I haven't heard anything back yet, so hoping no news is good news. All I can do is pray since I am so far away. Sux.

It's really difficult when family is so spread out. Sending lots of

Aw, many 'thank you's' to all of you!

Barring any complications, they are saying that my Uncle Jack will be moved to a nursing home for rehab of his left side when he is stable, then he can go home. He's still very sick, but I'm hanging on to this hope with all I've got in me.

They said he had a massive stroke. (It's so hard to even type those words!) His left side, including his left eye are weak, but he is able to move his extremities somewhat. He is responding to questions reasonably well too, although he couldn't tell what time it was from a wall clock--said it looked like it was upside down--but when they turned the clock upside down, he got the time wrong. It was 3:00 and he said 6:00. Baby steps, just baby steps... But hey, if God wants to do a miracle and skip the baby steps, I'm up for it!

Thank you all so much!! Keep those prayers and vibes coming; they are very, very much appreciated!!
to you all!!

Aw...thank you, Lauren!! No word today on how he's doing, but I'm trusting that he is going to be okay, and I'm praying like crazy.

Aw...thank you guys.
My Uncle Jack is doing very well...except for grumbling because he's had to be in a facility that can implement his physical therapy.
Grumbling is good! When he's not grumbling, I worry.

I used to feel a lot better when my Dad was grumbling, too! Let your uncle grumble all he wants. I'm so glad he's doing better.
for a great recovery!
