Lola is a blu Oriental, Benny a caramel-point Siamese.  They are litter mates born on (I think) 23rd March 2012.  I brought them home on the 1st July and they are settling in well now that my other cats have got over the worst of the shock!

Lola is on the active register and will heopfully have kittens early next Spring.  She carries either chocolate or cinamon, and Siamese.

They are from the same litter of 7, she is the smallest and he the largest.  Hopefully she will be as good a breeder as her mum.

It's being hard to get photos as mostly they are either asleep (often in the drawer under my bed!) or running around, or the light is too poor.  However I did manage this one today.

Lovely photo, I think Lola will be Madam in my mind for some time especially with that look on her face

It's na great evil Oriental expression in that photo, but she often has a great worried expression!  Her ear set looks good there, as does that lovely dome between them.  And the camera has made hre eyes look a bit greener than they really are!

Thanks all.  Lola should make Champion no problem except showing will have to fit in round her sex life and kittens.  (of course there might also be an absolutely stunning blue girl doing the rounds at the same time)  The only obvious slight fault is her tail is a little short, but not BSH short, and it's the correct slender whip tail, not thick at the base.

Benny may well not make Premier as he is bred like an Oriental - he has an Oriental head rather than Siamese.  He does have a glorious soft silky coat and a lovely purr and I think he is going to be a very friendly, happy lap cat.

They adore each other, the first sign of an outbreak of naughtiness is a mutual grooming session.

Congratulations on your lovely kitties !  How  nice for Madame Lola that she gets to bring her bro/ best buddy along.  Thanks for sharing the photos.

Now from what you said,  I am curious how do the Oriental & Siamese standards differ in GCCF?   ( I know in TICA and FIFé,   OS & SI  have the same standard except Siamese being pointed.  So I am guessing you must mean GCCF.)  I  didn't find the SOPs on the GCCF site.   I did find them on the Siamese Cat Breeder and Oriental Cat Breeder websites and they look almost alike.   maybe i am missing something . or maybe it is more a matter of how they are interpreted?

Yes, UK GCCF.  The original GCCF.

I can't remember what the standard says, but the cats are the same from the neck down.  A good Oriental has ears that continue the line of the face up, a good Siamese has a more on the side of the head ear set.  Suspect interpretation is where it's at, and I prefer Orientals.  Of course I adore both of them, they both love cuddles (so long as it's their choice to have one), and have lovely soft coats and loud purrs.
