Hi all,

I am Brenda and am owned by Mister, an F5 Savannah male. My first time with a Savannah, I have had Siamese and Oriental Black cat's before.  We live in Moray, Scotland in a rural area, so lots of roaming space for the Mister.  Mister is a year old and is the most wonderful puss, we love him muchly, in fact all of the other pets do.  What a character and so very gentle, I have never had so much as a scratch mark, even when playing. But he is a very proficient hunter, which is fine when it is the mice, but I am still getting used to the sheer number of voles and birds he brings home.

I am now sold on the breed, but would consider another Oriental Black.  looking forward to joining in discussions and meeting other puss slaves.

I am posting pics as I type, my avatar is Mister looking sideways at some birdies.  he has taken to sitting on the roof and catching bats as they fly past. Gross, just gross.

I know, he is looking sorry for himself at the moment as he has a bee sting on his cheek, at present he is hiding behind this Mac yowling for treats. I have to be careful regarding what meds he can take as Savannah's don't tolerate some usual cat drugs.  Thank the Lord my vet knows Savannah's.  I am not sure what to do about the bat problem, he sits on the roof and quite literally catches them mid flight, keeping him in is so not an option, he is a night cat and likes to hunt.  I have tried a collar and bell, but he always, but always manages to pull them off.  he doesn't eat all he kills, leaves voles, moles and bats alone, just kills them because he can.  it is very disconcerting to have such a beautiful, p[retty, furry kitty who hides the heart of a serial killer.

That's funny!  & aww, poor baby, a bee sting, that's no fun. I hope he feels better soon!  Maybe you can ask the vet about the bat thing. Just don't want your baby getting sick. :(   He sounds like a hand full, can't wait to see pictures! :)

I have put pics of Mister on the furry pics forum, at present he has taken to the chicken coop for a rest and to terrorise the Diva girls (my hens).
