Remember our little Tabby-girl? Her one-year Gotcha Day was last week, on July 3rd; that was the night that Rick told me I needed to find Tabby a good home and I told him that I already did.....ours. WW III erupted at our house, but she's still here. And she's our little sweetheart. We only have to clean her ears once every two weeks or so now.  And she's just the happiest kitty around. She and Mollipop are our "cohorts in crime" because they're always together and trying to figure out how they can get into trouble. Those two are a real hoot.

Last night, Rick and I were sitting at the kitchen table, working on kitchen calculations. We had books and catalogs and papers all over the place. Tabby had been playing with one of her "meeces". (We buy little mice from Foster and Smith in a large box shaped like a wedge of cheese. All of the cats like to play with them, but they're a big favorite toy with Tabby.) She has a large collection of white and grey meeces throughout the house. Once she tears the tails off, then she'll spend hours chasing her meeces, talking to them, and carrying them back and forth in the house. We've found meeces in bed, on their cat tree, on the kitchen counters, in the bathtub, and, yesterday, I even found a meece in one of their water dishes. I put it in the trash; once they're wet, I don't like to try to dry them. And we keep a supply on hand for them, so they're not going to go meece-less.

But last night? Last night, while we were sitting at the table, Tabby jumped up on the table to join us. She came to the middle, right between Rick and me. And she dropped a meece on the table for us. Then she looked at us and meowed. We think it was a gift from her and we gave her all kinds of cuddles and "Oh, what a good girl you are!" and kisses. She flopped down, stayed with us for awhile and then went into the living room.

A few weeks ago, the girls were in the window in the computer room, checking out the side yard; this was back before the heat wave. Of course, I had to take their picture. Mollipop is right around 8.5 pounds now; I call her Miss Fluffy Britches because she's all fur. Tabby? Well, Tabby weighs almost ten pounds and she's a year younger than Molli. She's very compact and when you hold her, you know you're holding a cat. She still tilts her head, although it's not as noticeable as it used to be, unless she's really sleepy.

Molli looks peeved in this picture, but I think she was expecting a flash when I snapped the picture and she was squinting her eyes. It's hard to believe that those cats are the same little babies we had not too long ago. Mollipop is now two and Tabby just turned one year old.

Hard to believe it's been that long.    Molly and Tabby are both just beautiful and looks like they found a perfect life.      Give my god-cats a kiss for me!

Oh - and I guess for them from Angel, Tony and Tippytoes.

AWWW Pam - they are just adorable - love that photo! Rick sounds like my Larry :lol3:. He still says the same thing about Wendall and Walden - the two "fosters" abuse cases from last summer. I always tell him the same thing, that they already have a home - OURS!!! Actually, Larry loves Walden who seems to have chosen him as his person. Walden doesn't realize it but he helps my case in doing so. :lol2:

I can't believe it has been a year. I do remember your Tabby came to you about the same time as my Walden and Wendall last summer. CONGRATULATIONS :clap::clap: TABBY!!!!!!!! :rub: :heart3: What a cute story about her bringing you two that meece  Her way of saying "THIS IS MY HOME" and that she loves both you AND Rick!!!! :heart2:

Thank you, Lana and Lauren! When we awakened this morning, Tabby was in bed with us, curled up between my legs. One of her meeces was with her and she picked it up and carried it out to the kitchen when she went out for breakfast. Those two are absolutely wonderful little girls. They don't cuddle or anything, but they can usually be found close to each other, even though they fight, fight and then fight some more. Sometimes when Amber is bored, she'll join the party and then we have three cats chasing each other throughout the house.

Lana, they got their kisses and they send big hugs back to their "cousins"!

I remember Walden and Wendall last summer!

That is adorable! Our Deli used to carry a "Rosie the Rat" toy around with her like a child might carry a favorite doll.

Awww, cute!

Mollipop has a large pink mousie that she would carry around with her like that. We have pictures of her climbing up furniture with her pink mousie in her mouth! These were taken when she was still a young kitty (not that she's old now, of course!).

She took that mousie everywhere, even when she took a nap.

Here she is getting ready to climb up the litter box bench cover.....Miss Mousie is in her mouth.
