I'm working with a breeder and have a kitten on reserve.  However, I've recieved an email that told me the mother (and probably the babies since they are now losing weight) has been diagnosed with Coronavirus, Clostridium Perfringens and Trichomonas Foetus diagnosed through a PCR panel run that includes DNA testing on all bacteria/virus' found.

She's offered me back my deposit, and I'm considering it.

I currently have one cat who has a very poor immune system due to CRF, and I am worried that bringing in even a well treated kitten would cause problems.

I have red flags going up everywhere because she's asked me not to talk to other breeders.  Does anyone have any info that might help?

Many can carry corona and TTF without symptoms, TTF can take a long time to clear up if symptomatic. Sounds like the breeder is doing the right thing, and the kitten will be healthy before leaving.

I can understand her asking you not to speak to others, assuming it's on this topic, gossip and misinformation spreading can be terrible. The breeding world is a small one.
