Today, I spent my time ridding fleas from my cat, Boo-boo, and had to give her a bath with shampoo and comb MANY fleas out of her fur. Anyways, after I finished bathing her and combing her I put some Frontline on her to help get rid of the nasty little bugs because she was an outdoor cat (until today). Within a few moments I noticed she had saliva streaming out of her mouth and her opening and closing her mouth trying to get rid of it
. Ofcourse (since im not too knowledgable about cats) I flipped out and didn't know what to do. So I called the Frontline number only to have time wasted by a stupid robot. I panicked (desperate for help) with tears in my eyes and holding back on crying, called my local Petco. They also could not help me but gave me a number to their vet. I called them only to get another number to the cat care center thing and they told me she was all foamy because of the taste and it was completely natural. I thanked the lady who told me the good news and hung up and burst into tears grab my cat and cradle her in my arms. I don't know what I would do without her.

Yes! I've done that too many times! Even when I thought they shouldn't have been able to reach it. I've learned to put it pretty far up the back of their heads.

The companies put bitter taste in it so the kitties won't lick too much off.

You handled it just right. Welcome to the world of living with a cat. You're going to do great.

She is declawed and as i said in my post i got nearly every flea off of her so she could move in and as soon as my mom got home she said no. So now Boo is back in the garage with all of my hard work gone to waste... covered in fleas.

Well, the frontline should keep the fleas off of her.

Why does your mom think it's OK to have declawed cat outside? I'm so so sorry!!!! That's so sad!

AW that was a scare. You have to put the Frontline on the back of the cats head - bottom of the skull. Otherwise they can reach around and lick the product off and that will cause the extreme foaming of the mouth. I would keep applying the Frontline monthly since you mother won't let the cat in the house!! That IS sad because she is declawed and has no way to defend herself. You really love Boo Boo :rub: Try to educate your mom - this kitty really needs to be indoor only. :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

no, not gone to waste. if she's closed off in the garage, she will be safe. the frontline will eventually kill the fleas. next is to make her as comfortable as possible in the garage, and then to proceed to work on your mom.
