Anyone know of a good website for unique gifts? Or possibly have a great idea for a wedding gift? The couple is young, hip, and very creative. I want something different and unique that is still appropriate for a wedding gift!

Hopefully you guys can help me, I'm already so late to send it because I just haven't found anything good!

I like to make stuff for ppl. I made a cross stitch rose for my friend in the East Coast, and a shadow box w/ names and dates for my sister. Here is where you can look at them:

This is the one for my sister

I was going to make a quilt for my sister, but she ended up getting like 10 of them, so I didn't. Maybe you could make an afghan or something.

Not sure how creative you are, but these are a few ideas.

Good luck

I don't have any really good ideas for a wedding gift - I'm not overly creative, I just go by what they register for.

I did just happen to find out tonight as I'm reading a wedding etiquette book, that guests have one year from the wedding date to give gifts. I never heard that before, but that's what the etiquette book claims. So you might not be late at all!

Oh Jenn that is GREAT news to me! I'm so glad your wedding book said that, and that you shared it with me. I've been really stressed over this and now that the wedding has already happened (this past weekend) I am even more frustrated!

Thanks everyone for your ideas. I've been browsing the links searching for something. . .

I love giving crystal
Vases, cake plates, candle sticks, etc
During the year I always check out the discount shelf at the dept stores so when i need a gift I have one w.o paying an arm and a leg
A lot of people have been giving those wine backpack things to younger couples.. Also travel related stuff is always safe.. I think a candle basket would be nice, with some crystal candlesticks, different candles, scent sachets and stuff.. That would be romantic.

Yankee Candle has a Wedding Day candle that smells wonderful. There are several different styles, toppers for the jars, and lovely holders. I have made gift baskets with those, a bottle of wine, and champagne glasses. There are some lovely pewter ones that I found doing a Google search that were lovely.

I agree with Shell. Things remembered is a pretty cool place. But it is kind of traditional so maybe they want something a little more mod??

'gift certificates' to their favorite stores, if anyone wants to send me any, I like Pottery Barn, Target, VS (only the women should know what that means) and last but not least, again Target!

Do they drink wine? One of the wineries near me (yes, Pennsylvania has wineries, too) creates custom labels for their wines.

That't great! My sister-in-law lives in Austin! She is in her Senior year at UT. I was wondering just the other day how many texans were in this forum, and now I know!
