After sitting twiddling my thumbs all morning because of workman


How do you keep yourself busy when you have workman in your home?

I usually go on the computer.

I hate having workmen in the house. :lol3: I usually read, watch TV or go on the computer.

Computer.

I worry about them opening wrong door and letting cats out.  Roto rooter was the best as they were VERY careful when we had a major backup issue.

I baby gat the house when anyone is here-figure it will remind them  so far no issues

My "workman" is usually my husband so I just ignore him   . No, just kidding, my DH is great and does so much around here I can't believe it. I couldn't ask for a better husband.

Now, if it's something that needs installed by the company like cable, I'm clueless as to what to do. Do I offer them drinks? Get on the computer? Take a nap? Tip them? I normally just hover and try to move cats (the "supervisors" aka "helpers") out of the way.

I hate having "workmen" in the house and usually my husband does the work if needed. But when we do, I put all the cats in the foster room and sit in there with them reading, watching tv or on the computer. They get stressed too :lol3:

Oh, actually, the last time someone was here from an "outside" company (not the building maintenance people), I was also baking brownie muffins. They were replacing a pipe in the wall, and one guy, as he was leaving said, "Do I smell brownies?" I totally had to give him one, and also gave him one for his cohort.
