TWO rabies shots

How could a vet give my stray(at my home and cared for outside for 12 years) a LIVE RABIES SHOT when he was so sick and ill and at deaths door when I told him he had a rabies shot back when he was neutered 4 MONTHS ago. I told the vet he already had one but he still gave another behind my back. I think he thought the cats ear problem could have been from a bite after the first rabies I said no it was there that he keeps scratching at it. Possibly from FIV or a cancer. But the cat died a week later from Kidney disease. Should a vet give all these shots before seeing a blood test?? I cannot stand vets they are shot happy and to do it to a half dead cat was beyond me. He brought the cat to the back gave it covenia, Merial rabies etc etc. How do you find good vets??? Do they exist??

Good vets do exist, but it can take some work to find them. When I moved here where I live now it took 7 years and 5 other vets/clinics before I found my vet I love.

I'm really shocked that he would do that in total disregard for the cat's health and his client's wishes.
