Hello fellow cat lovers! I just joined this site. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this site. I was looking for info regarding my new kitten. We recently rescued her. A neighbor left her to fend for herself. She is probably six weeks old now. She sneezes like crazy but she doesn't have any labored breathing. Her lung sounds are normal and she is eating, drinking, playing, and using litter box. I am just going to watch her. Eyes have been a little goopy. I clean them out with normal saline. They have gotten much better. I read on the internet to give benedryl for the sneezing. I don't know about that. I would have to know the exact dose for her weight. I don't want to do that without consulting a vet. I'm sure you guys know a great deal. I appreciate any input.

I wouldn't give her anything.  Benadryl gets prescribed, occasionally, for allergies, but it's extremely bitter to cats and very hard to get them to take.

You can pick up Opticlear for cats at a pet store.  It has some anti-bacterial action in addition to washing out the eyes.

Keep a close eye on her; kittens can crash very suddenly at that age.
