It's called "Analog Man," and here's a link to the title track, performed live.

I see he has teeth again.

Also, he's now married to Ringo Starr's sister.  Or his sister is married to Ringo Starr.  Anyway, Ringo is his brother-in-law.

he performed that song when i saw him last november. i really like it. the album was produced by Jeff Lynn (ELO).

Ringo is married to Barbara Bach, they met when they did the movie 'Caveman'. Walsh is married to Marjorie Bach, her sister. so him and Ringo are BIL.

when i saw Walsh here in Riverside at the Fox Theater there was no photography allowed at all and Walsh said that the concert was beeing filmed and going to be released as a dvd. i haven't seen anything about that yet though. but it was a great concert and i always been a fan of his

I'll bet that link I posted is from that DVD.  Maybe they decided not to release it.

i'm not sure. at the Fox show in Riverside where i saw him he just said the show was beeing recorded for dvd. that video link w/Jeff lynn is from the Troubador in Los Angeles, a really small club and that show was a 'record release promo show' and was by special invitation only.

i saw him last november. i don't know how long it takes to edit what they filmed and put the finished dvd on the market. the Analog cd was supposed to be out in february too so i guess there's hope yet

Is it just me, or are some of the tracks on his new album auto-tuned in certain places? My dad and I were listening to it the other night. He says it could be auto-tune, but it could also be sound compression from recording to a tape, which can give a mechanized feel to a song. I don't know. The idea of Joe Walsh using auto-tune gives me the heebie jeebies. But, as my dad reminded me, Jeff Lynne is one of the most innovative artists of the 20th century in terms of using electronic effects, and he produced this album, so....?

Also, I hope neither of you missed the irony of the album Analog Man being released digitally to iTunes. :lol3:

ETA -- Auto-tune or not, he's still got it when it comes to guitar.

You may be hearing what is called a "VoxBox."

Go to the four minute point on this video and see a minute of it.

This, and a lot of drinking, is why he didn't have any teeth for a while.  This thing is allegedly pretty hard on them.

Peter Frampton was an expert, too.

Go to the 5:45 point in that video.
