I have a 6 week old kitten who is still nursing from her mother and I started weaning her too. I noticed today that she can't poop I checked her anus and there is a little bit of poop in there but she is playing and eating wet food just like the usual behavior of a kitten. There is no poop in the litter box and she is trying hard to poop but there is still a really little bit of poop when I check her anus after she tried to poop. Is this a serious problem? What should I do first before I bring her to vet

She is still with her mother. Does it mean she had been pooping  before until I started weaning her by feeding her wet food and some unpasteurized goat's milk?

When kittens are with their moms, a lot of the time the mom will lick the kitten's bottom and get the poop out that way. It is good the mom is still with her. She will take care of it.

With kittens you have more of a problem if they happen to get diarrhea. I would not do anything to make her stools looser. Kittens can die very easily and quickly from diarrhea.

It sounds overall like your kitten is healthy. If you are feeding her regular kitten food and she has normal energy and sleep etc. she is just fine :-).

She doesn't need the goat milk.  She is still nursing, that's the very best kind of milk for her, and once weaned milk - any type - is an unnatural food for a kitten or cat.

Agree, she doesn't need goats milk. Her mum and the kitten food is enough.

Unless dehydrated she shouldn't need to be syringed water either, as you mentioned doing in another thread. If she seems in pain, or strains often in the litter tray a vet visit will be needed.

Right now I am giving her pure pumpkin canned I bought in a pet store. I checked her tummy and it doesn't seem to be firm. How long do you think will it take effect for the pumpkin to act as as softener? She really like eating it straight from the can. I gave her 1 teaspoon. She still doesn't poop today but right now she is playing. I will bring her to the vet tomorrow .

So right now I saw  her eliminate aproxx about 1/2 inch of stool stuck in her anus and then her mother cleaned it after I gave her 1tsp pure pumpkin. Is this a good news? Should I still bring her to the vet? Or just wait first because looks like the pumpkin I gave to her is softening her stool.
