Is this brand of wet food any good?

Wow, the labeling requirements there are awfully vague. Gelling agent? Which one--guar gum or carageenan? "Various sugars"? Is that grains? Potatoes? Refined sugar? Very strange.

It doesn't look terrible (maybe. Hard to tell with that kind of label), but there must be a reason it's that inexpensive. Unless it's on clearance or something.

At least it has a named meat as the first ingredient. I would say it's better than a lot of wet foods that start with meat byproducts.

BUT, not knowing the definition of, say, "chicken", under those labeling requirements, it could very well be what the AAFCO considered "by-products". Different countries, different rules.

I'd be really suspicious about the price. And, as Willowy says, the really basic description of the ingredients.  "Various sugars??"

I bought it for my ferals several times: they liked it! I agree it's really suspicious, but I did some research and it's usually only available in the UK? I don't know, but don't try the pouches from Feline Fayre that say Seafood Platters - made ALL of my ferals sick one morning. Never fed them it again after that.
