I got a call today about 3 kittens being found at the side of the road. They have asked me to foster. They said three to four weeks old. They were COVERED in fleas and they treated them. I am waiting til tomorrow to pick them up as I don't want fleas in my house. I thought I'd stop by to see them. Oh my.... they are in such bad shape. Filthy...filthy. I think they are def 4 to 5 weeks. They are prob small due to malnutrition. hope all the dark grime that they are covered in is just dirt. Their poor ears have all been ate up by flies. So, so many fleas. They tried to comb some of the fleas off them and the water turned red! They  have the skin and bones look with a wormy belly.

They are three orange boys. I am going in first thing in morning and bathing them before I bring them home. I'll get a photo of before and after...

This is a horrible picture of how it is for the homeless and ferales.  It is apparent many of the kittens do perish this way, "simply" by being eaten up by fleas and other parasites.  Other dangers takes also a heavy toll.

No wonder these who survives these early, heavy tolls are survivors, and do make through astonishing difficulties.

Good luck!

Well...here they are. Three men in a tub ;). This pic was taken this morning at the shelter. They had to dose them again as there was still alot of active fleas. So, they are home with  me now but can't bath them til the morning.

Very cute, and they look quite well - alert, clean eyes and noses.  I'm pretty sure they will go from strength to strength.

Adorable! I can relate, I've pulled some very very sickly thrown away looking kitties from the shelter before, its so upsetting people can just toss their pets aside and not care. I have family like that. They want their animals to have babies but when I bring up the obvious "you cant keep them all, where will the babies go?" the answer is always The shelter. Thank you for trying to help these throwed away little cuties :)
