So I had my first "pregnant" cat 4 weeks ago, and well no babies, turned out she was just fat lol, my luck. Everyone at the shelter was surprised by it but she just got spayed and is available for adoption which is great.
Now I took in another pregnant cat, Mittens, and I am sure she is pregnant. Her belly sticks out from both sides and is hard like a rock. Her nipples are big not too red in color yet. I have felt the babies move, though I thought I did last time to, but these are different. She is a sweetheart and loves to be pet. Wish me luck everyone. The man who dropped her off at the shelter told them she was a stray his neighbor was feeding and she kept getting pregnant over and over, he gave a false address for her so when the shelter went to investigate there was no house there. But she is way too friendly and declawed so I think it was his cat who got out and got pregnant and he didn't want kittens.
We have no idea how far along she is or how old she is or if she ever really did have a litter.
She loves to meow and has a kinda raspy meow and I found out tonight she was declawed I am not even sure the shelter realized it. She is a so pretty grey and white. Just thought I would share my story, wish me luck.

I just had the same situation as you last year having a foster that wasn't really pregnant! Haha all that waiting for nothing...

I have a pregnant grey and white foster mom now too that I'm waiting on
. I usually find that when you can feel the babies moving that they're in their last two weeks of pregnancy.

Thanks for helping her out! It doesn't sound like she had a great life before with that man...

Good luck!

I posted pictures of her a couple of threads down.  I'm in the same boat as you.

Awwww thank you for taking care of her! It makes me soooo angry when people declaw cats but do not spay/neuter them. And then just toss her away because she is pregnant? So cruel

Yeah Lily does that too

It's usually pretty uncomfortable for them to bend that way towards the end of the pregnancy so somtimes their fur can get a bit dirty. If that happens you may have to help wash her a bit with a cloth, but they're usually pretty persistant at doing it themselves.

Mittens seems to wag her tail a lot. It doesn't matter if she is lieing down or walking around. She seems to swat it like a horse would. It happens if I am or am not petting her. Do you think they are annoying her inside and that's why she is doing it. She appears to be calm to me when she does it. At times I do notice that I will feel a kick and she will swat her tail but I didnt know if I was thinking about it too much.
