Hello! I am a 23 year old student (done a math degree and finishing up a comp sci degree since I changed my mind from mechanical engineering) with 2 wonderful cats, Zoe and Wash.
I have two ragdolls back at my parents in PA but they are really just my mom's now since I moved up here for school a few years ago. They were diagnosed with FIP years ago and were only given a few months to live, but I guess we were very lucky because that was probably 6 years ago now. We had a wonderful kitten after our first that wasn't so lucky with FIP, so what is probably where they got it, but that must have been 10 years ago now. It means that I can never bring my cats home with me, but my parents are moving to Georgia soon so that isn't going to happen anyway. Here are a couple of old pics of them. The seal point is a sweetheart but the white one is kind of a brat to him.
My boyfriend and I adopted Zoe and Wash from Lollipop Farm, a big shelter around here. I love Zoe but she is more my boyfriend's cat and really only likes men, while Wash is my little baby (he is almost 2 but is still a kitten to me). I call Wash my puppy-cat since he acts like a puppy in many ways. He is super affectionate but is scared of new people and loud noises. He loves giving kisses and runs to me when I call him, but gets over excited and fall over and rolls around before he gets to me. I realize I sound pretty crazy writing this, but I can't help it, I just adore him
. When he was a kitten he was super cuddly and sucked on my earlobe for months while sitting on my shoulder. I could trick him into sucking on my finger when my ear hurt. This is the only pic I have of them atm on my computer, from when Wash was a bit younger:
I just signed up because I took in a pregnant stray (another gray tiger!) and this seems like a great resource. I haven't named her yet but I am happy to help a kitty in need and I am excited to have kittens! I didn't want to have 3 cats but she sort of adopted us and I got attached to her pretty quickly. She seemed to just be begging for help and I couldn't turn her down. Here she is:
