Hi everyone!

I ordered some food online, not thinking about the heat and delivery time. The delivery was late afternoon and we aren't able to bring it in until tonight . It's in the shade and everything but does anyone know what storage guidelines are for canned food, like if it goes bad? I don't want to give them bad food. Thanks!

Not sure if this info is needed but it is canned Nature's Variety Instinct.

Canned food is processed at high heat. . .cooked in the can. So I'm pretty sure being stored in the heat won't hurt. Or at least I hope not, because I keep mine in the garage! Kibble can get rancid if too warm for too long, though.

Thank you!! We generally refrigerate it once it's been opened and store it inside. They have their own play room and feeding station where their food is stored inside. Lol

I was just concerned about leaving it out on the porch when it is delivered until I get home (which is usually much later)

No, I'm sure it will be okay. :) If it does end up going bad or something, you'll be able to notice a funny smell when you open the can, but I highly doubt that will happen.
