We got a 9wk old kitten a couple of days ago.  He has been pawing at his face.  When we took him to the vet yesterday he said he is probably teething, nothing to worry about.  Today he has been pawing very aggressively at his face even more so than the day before. This comes and goes.  I am getting stressed out, is this normal for a kitty that is teething ?

My kitties didn't do anything like that when they were teething, but maybe all cats are different? Does he chew on things or give any other sign that he's teething?

I assume the vet looked in his mouth and didn't notice anything else in there that might be bothering him?

No he has not been really chewing on anything and the vet did look in his mouth.

Sometimes it can be an ear infection or an excessive build up of wax.

that does sound odd, I can;t remember any of our cats doing that when they were a kitten.

I agree with cococat , might be something like an ear infection, hope you find some answers soon. sending lots of good vibes to your baby.
