Does a battery powered water fountain for pets exist? With a recent 3 day power outage, I discovered after at least 8 yrs of having the electric fountain my 2 cats do not like to drink still water from the fountain or a bowl. I was very worried about them becoming dehydrated in the unairconditioned house (temps outside 90 to over 100 degrees, inside 80 t0 87 degrees) The cats are fine now, had them moved to a home w/ electric.

I am sure if it was technologically possible to have a battery-operated fountain, there would already be some on the market. Unfortunately the manufacturers continue to ignore complaints about the pump not working for unknown reasons.

If your cats eat only wet and/or raw food, they get enough water without a fountain. Those things are for cats who only like kibbles.
