HELP!!
My megacolon kitty BOO is healthy with 1/4 teaspoon of MIRALAX daily in a spoonful of wet food. But.................... when we go on vacation we hire a pet sitter to come in 2 times a day. Once in the morning to giver her MIRALAX in her wet food. Then before she leaves she gives the kitties some dry food to eat during the day (I can't keep a bowl of dry food out because BOO will overeat until she PUKES!!). Then the pet sitter comes in the evening and gives kitties a little wet food and some dry food out until morning.
My problem is that BOO gets constipated and needs an enema even with the pet sitter's help. I think she gets stressed that I am not home - but also I think she is affected by her change in feeding pattern (my husband works from home and he gives BOO small meals about 5 times (dry) along with her two wet foods. Do you think an automatic feeder is a good idea to use to help keep BOO's feeding pattern similar to when we are home? Does anyone have any other ideas. One thought I had was giving her MIRALAX in both of her wet food feeds. Thanks for your help!
