Hi, I'm new to the site. I'm a new "mom" of 7 months, and I have two rescue cats - a male name Mojo and a female named Poe.
Mojo:
Mojo is a middle-age Brown Classic and White Tabby, whose torso length is 22 inches! He's had a pretty tough life before I adopted him, based on his initial fearfulness and the pellet lodged in his back, but he's suuuper loving and I'm trying my best to give him the life he deserves. He nearly died a few months ago from a severe form of megacolon, but he has made a miraculous recovery. He's still medicated and requires diligent monitoring, but that's mostly because I don't ever want to miss his signs again.
Mojo is also the first cat I've ever met who's actually run towards the sound of a barking dog and then search for the dog, probably to defend his territory. Alas, I may never know because the dog was on the tv. He also loves Poe and will do whatever it takes to comfort her... unless they are play fighting. Then he has no problem kicking her over the bed.
When they play fight he is always talking. I think it's his kitty-cat smack talk
Poe:
Poe is roughly 1 year old and a Bombay, but she has sparse white spots at every torso joint. I guess the armpit ones happened after this picture, or the camera wasn't very good quality because she has a very noticeable white hair collection at each pit. This picture is pretty old, but most of her pics are on a different drive. She does love to sleep like this.
Poe is an extremely mischievous cat, who's pretty smart and yet pretty not smart. She has a problem with her landings - when we first got her she kept landing on her head - but she loves to steal our sink stoppers and hide them under the oven. She does not like closed closets or cabinets and has to open ever cabinet and sliding closest she possible can. Which is actually all of them, regardless how heavy. She's also allergic to all fish and all foul, with the exception of duck and turkey. I'm not entirely sure about the turkey though. Her allergic reactions to some of the foods are so severe that it shocked the vet. She has starburst orange and amber eyes.
Well, there is my lovable kitties. One recently finished her bad-girl teenage phase and the other is learning to play, but both of them enjoy stalking me and waging war with each other several times a day.
