Hi. I'm the proud new mama of two 8-week-old calico kittens named Tiger and Cuddles, original, I know, lol. I just adopted them yesterday from a lady who had 11 kittens from two separate litters. These two girls are almost twins. They are the same color, but they have different markings.
I was just going to get one because I didn't know how easy it would be to care for two as I'm almost totally blind, but Mom thought I should get two because they've always been with brothers and sisters, so she thought it would be good for them to have another kitty to play with. I also got two of the same sex so there would be no babies, although I'm going to get them spayed ASAP. I came to this site so I could learn as much about caring for my furbabies. This is the second time I've had a pet since being on my own. My first cat as an adult was a tabby named Cassie, but I was married to someone who wasn't a nice guy and I was forced to re-home her *cry*. I miss my Cassiebear, which is what I called her as a term of affection.
