Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I didn't see anything that would help feral cats in there. I couldn't bring any of them in to wet them down. :lol3: But we do put out a bowl of ice (buy the bags) that melts and just keep replacing more ice so they've got cold water.

When saying ferals I meant the socialized ones, like Lucky and Sassy. :lol3: Should have specified. I definitely would not be able to catch the "feral" ferals. I also put ice in their bowls, except I don't buy the bags so I have four ice cube trays that I constantly refill in my freezer. :lol3: I also give them kitten food in hot weather, since sometimes they don't feel like eating because of the heat and kitten food is more appetizing. I have many cool shelters and "kitty hangouts" for hot days.

I haven't read the article yet but I'm about to.  The kitten food is a great idea.  My feral doesn't eat a whole lot during the heat either. I'm gonna buy some kitten food for her tomorrow.  Thanks for the info kittylover23

when i had ferals living in my back yard, i would take lactose-free milk (Lactaid) and add taurine and then freeze it in an aluminum pan and then put it in the shade. the ferals loved it. you should have seen the milk mustaches. i only did it as a treat. i did test it out first with Catsip since that comes in an 8 ounce size where Lactaid's smallest size is a half gallon.
