Thought I would post this here. Its not really anything bad, just extremely odd.

Ashley, is my 11 year old little furball. :p She has this odd trait about her. She sticks her tongue out! After eating, after grooming, laying down, sitting up... No matter what... She'll have her tongue out of her mouth.

Now, any insight on to what this might be? Aside from my cat being completely odd?

Thanks in advance,
Rayne

How far out does she stick her tongue? If it is more than just the tip, you might want to get her checked at the vet just to be safe, especially if there is drooling occurring as well.

If just the tip is showing, this could be just a genetic trait, or a drawback from when she suckled mom. Her bite could be a little off center causing this to happen as well.

Its only the tip, and her bite is aligned perfectly. Must be a character trait.

I had a long hair that used to do the same thing from time to time. It's kinda cute, but not natural for a cat as their tongue and paws are pretty heavily protected by them and only trust to use [the tongue] when they feel absolutely safe/secure (hence, most cats only clean when in a quiet room/safe space).

Ashley will clean herself anywhere she pleases! On my lap, on the bed, in the kitchen, I guess she must really trust me. :p
