I have three cats. Molly (AKA Miss Molly, Mols, Momma) is 17 1/2 now. She's an old lady, but she's hanging in there. She is a gray tuxedo with the most perfect heart shaped nose and green eyes. She was a rescue. She was a teenage mom. living in a barn when they found her. I think, looking back, that she was almost feral. Sweet to me. Loves me. But she is quick to bite. Not an attack, but warning shot of get away from me now! My friends call her the "bitch", need I say more? An example of Molly's wrath? I did find a near death starving cat, she was 5 lbs when I found her, that I named Lucy (AKA LU-LU, Woosey - she looks just like Maru, so adorable). She was so badly off that the vets told me that putting her down would probably be necessary. But so anyway, Lucy and Molly did not get along at all. One day Molly and Lucy came to blows and she took a huge chunk out of Lucy's hind quarter. $1600 worth of damage! I gave up my actual rescue to my mom. I had no choice. I feared Molly would kill her next time. Side Lucy story: She now weighs 19 lbs and is healthy, living in the lap of luxury.

I lost my Amigo (AKA my little love, Boo-Boo, Boo-Boo Bear, Daaa Boo) Nov.2,  2010. He was 18 1/2 when he died of natural causes. Still miss him every day. He was an all black cat with tan/yellow/green/depending on the light eyes. He loved to eat and would holler: ME-NOW when I was opening up his can of food. He was the product of my brother's cat, Casey, having kittens. My mom took his brother and sister (Fin and Rosile). Amigo out lived his entire litter by almost a full 4 years. He was named after my brother's car, but in every way he was a friend indeed. I got him when he was 3. I "borrowed" him to scare off some mice but we both liked being together so he stayed with me. He followed me everywhere. Molly, did not really bother with him, who, by the way, I got to be a companion to him (foolish me), but when he died she actually cried. Yowled, in fact.

But so I got one kitten last year. Wasn't going to get another one until Miss Molly passed, because, like I said, she can be slightly difficult, so it was a fluke that I ended up with two more. I wanted a male, but my friend did the ol' bait and switch and gave me a girl, another all black, but tiger striped (yes, you read that right), with copper eyes and a huge tail that walks her! So Bon Julio, which I was going to name "him", became Jolie. No, I did not name her after Angelina Jolie. "Jolie" in french means "beautiful". Should have just kept the name Bon Julio. She does not like the name Jolie and refuses to answer to it.

So Jolie (AKA Jo-Jo, Jo-Jo girl, Jo-Jo LEE, all of which she rejects as well), now 17 months, was very interested in Molly. Molly wanted nothing to do with her - really, the gap in the ages was just too great - and so I got a boy, Barnaby (AKA BB, Baby). Barnaby, now 15 months, was named after Barnaby Jones from the TV show - his sister was Lacy (who died at 8 wks old from Storage Disease) and his brother was Columbo, together they were the "Inspector kittens" named so at the shelter - is another all black cat. That was intentional. He's a big black cat that sounds like a UFO when he runs around. The shelter used the word "rambunctious" when describing him. They were not kidding. But I did train him to give me a "high-five" before putting down his food. Okay, its more like a head butt to my hand. but it's kind of impressive, if I do say so myself. :-)

Looking back, I am not too sure why I got another black cat. It is sometimes hard to tell them apart. Although, it is my observation black cats, especially male black cats, are just big loves. But so, Barnaby and Jolie are tight as thieves and now just gang up on poor Molly. When they were littler than Molly, they looked like those Raptors from Jurrasic Park, and Molly was the lone T-Rex. But I have to say, I am impressed with Molly, she has not taken anyone down. There has been no blood shed, so we are good. But I too am out pawed and no one sleeps with me any more (Molly gets annoyed with the kittens and leaves, and the kittens are to busy with each other either sleeping together or wrestling).

I'll try to post some pictures. So that is my cat story. Thanks for reading!
