I have been feeding a "feral cat" for the last 8 months on my porch .....It is MEAN and now allows me to pet "it" only while "it" is eating only. Tonight I noticed "IT" having about 3 white things on his back while I was petting him while he was eating....... Are these "ticks" ????? I have "Frontline" and will trick the cat while it eats if so. He is very ornery and it will take a very sneaky way to give the drug to the cat without being bitten. Any advice is appreciated here

They may be ticks. Ticks do turn white after becoming engorged. However, it's unusual for a cat to have engorged ticks in an area where he can bite them off. So I don't know :dk:.

Has the kitty been spayed/neutered and vaccinated yet? If not, don't risk a bite. Borrow a trap from someone (some shelters/rescues lend theirs out), and have them flea treat the kitty while he/she is under anesthetic for the neuter. It's most likely a male because a female would be nursing kittens right now, and you probably would have noticed her being pregnant.
