Anyone have a cat who likes to sleep on them?

Emily would only sleep near by feet. If I moved her, she jumped off the bed.

Wilbur was another story altogether. I tucked him in bed first, then crawled in next to him. He looked under the blankets, so I covered him and me over our heads as long as he wanted to. When he did not want to lie there anymore, he went to the back of my legs and curled up there. It was like that almost every night after I started making my bed while he was on it.

Both Emily and Wilbur loved to lie on my chest so when they put their heads down, I could kiss htem between the ears. I got lots of hugs from Emily and kisses from Wilbur that way.

The closer, the better, I say!
You can say that again! I will never understand why some people don't like kneading and being walked on. Patricia used to knead me. I think she knew where my mammary glands are because one of her favorite places to do it was my left breast lol. She also kneaded my crotch and, when I was lying on my back, one arm. She still walks on me. But I have to lie on my back, so I roll over every time she walks up to me. A few times, she uses my hip as a pillow. I always wondered why because that joint is all bone.

Wilbur also was a kneader, but not as much. But I have to call him a furry alarm clock because when I woke up early, he was on the bed, and I am NOT a morning person at all. I have no idea how he did it just sleeping there. One morning, he woke me up by sitting on my pillow to lick my hair.

My girl didn't even sleep on the bed till 'the boy' arrived.  Now she sleeps right on top of me.  If I roll over, she gets right back on again. I think she's claiming me.. doesn't want him getting any silly ideas
(he sleeps by my side or at the end of the bed)

Of all my cats, only one rarely sleeps on the bed with me. She's a long hair so I guess it's too warm for her. Two will sleep under the blanket with me. I usually wake up with three to four cats on the bed!

Troubl, my youngest, was accidentally was taught to sleep under the blanket with me. My ex-roommate suddenly brought her home into a home with four bigger kittens. Mind you, Trouble was 4 months old and tiny compared to the kittens twice and triple her age! Within two days of her arrival, my roommate tossed Trouble out of her bedroom where she had been keeping her. I was woken up in the middle of the night to hear the poor kitten crying for help, as she was being chased and clobbered by the bigger kittens. I rescued her and took her back to my roommate's room, yelling at her that she was an idiot to let her out unsupervised so early, those bigger cats could hurt her! I went back to sleep and a minute later, Trouble raced into my room, jumping on my bed. lol She was followed by the bigger cats, who I shooed off. I put Trouble under the blanket to keep her safe.

That moment really spoiled her, as she now will literally try to pull the blanket off me to get underneath! If that fails, she meows like a crazy cat and walks and pesters me until I wake up and let her underneath the blanket!

My (RIP) Harley Cat used to love to sleep on me. He's sleep right next to my head or on my chest or stretched out next to me. And anytime I sat down on the couch he'd have to immediately jump up and sit on my lap. He loved it if I picked him up and gave him hugs too.

He was real cuddler.

My current cat is a year old and does not seem to do this. He'll jump up briefly when I get in bed and sit with me for a couple of minutes and then he's off doing his thing. If I sit on the couch he may come and sit next to me or near me though. And, of course, when he wants me to get up and give him his breakfast he will literally lay on top of my head, patting at my face, until I get up. So this probably does not count
he does like to get picked up and given hugs though. So maybe he'll become more cuddly later.

I wonder if as he gets older he'll cuddle more. If I remember correctly, Harley did not cuddle as much when he was younger either but became increasingly more cuddly as he got older. So we'll see.

Does anyone else get walked on while lying in bed?
YES!!  Morgan La Fay does this... Paige does this (I am just a living trampoline to Miss Paige, I often believe!
) before she settles down... And King Arthur does this, too.  It hurts when he does, he is heavy!!  But, yes, I am a piece of furniture to them!

Hope is Hopeless :lol3::lol3::lol3: She has no bed etiquette whatsoever..... She kneads, purrs..... is all over me.... loving loving loving..... Doesn't let me sleep, but she is just TOO cute for me to get mad :heart3:
AND my Presley is the exact same way. I never get a full night's sleep because of his loving. He stretches across my neck and all I hear is purring. That will lull me back to sleep, the purring... :rub: :heart3: He is my number one cuddler and I don't have the heart to push him away or get mad. :D

My big Siamese male, whom I unfortunately lost earlier this week, would sleep on my groin when I was sleeping on my back, on my back when I was sleeping on my stomach and on my feet when sleeping on my side. During the non-sleeping periods, if I were to lay down on my stomach on the floor, he'd lay down on my right side with his head laying on my right arm. Always the right side. If he was in the room he'd always come to me and do that. I got him as a mature cat from an elderly man so perhaps this was learned behavior from that owner.

Cassie used to sleep with us sometimes, but only when she wanted to. If she wanted loving she would be all over us, but there were times when she didn't want to be bothered. I haven't gotten my two new babies to sleep with me yet, but they do sleep on me or sit on my shoulders during the day. Cuddles will lay on my chest or in my arms like a baby and they both will sit or lay on my shoulder for a long time. I love it.

My friend insists they're being domineering and possessive by doing this but I think its cute. My kitten likes to sleep on my side or on my arm/shoulder. I sleep on my side and she has to cuddle up to me. She will actually try to pull my blankets off or paw me until I let her cuddle up to me. Other times, she just climbs up on my side. Mitty will sit on my hip or my chest. lol The others are starting to do it more often, too! lol
Swiffer sleeps on my chest but only when I'm taking my afternoon nap.  She sleeps at the end of the bed with one of the other cats at night.  Never could figure out why she naps on my chest during the day but not at night.

my husband has a bad back and so would often sleep out on the couch instead of in bed. My cat Kye took full advantage of it and made it a recurring habit to sleep with me. When he was a kitten he would sleep right up with his head on my pillow. He is very silly and loves to rest his head on pillows like a person I love it lol.

Now that he is older he sleeps down by my legs. But he gets annoyed if my husband sleeps in bed too lol. There were times when as soon as my husband gets up for work he would run and curl up against my legs lol

My new kitten Kit has been sleeping with me too, draped across the pillow or right by my face. It is very adorable.

My Willow used to sleep on my back or side a lot, especially when she was at the end of her battle with CRF. I like to think she got some comfort from me, even if it was just warmth, and that she felt a little better by being on top of me. My other cat only sleeps on the bed when my husband isn't home, he knows who the cat lover is in the family! We just got an Abyssinian kitten yesterday and I hope she sleeps with me soon.

Harley sleeps on my bed at night. Sometimes he'll sleep near the foot of my bed, but other times he'll move up to wear I am and snuggle in next to me  either against my back or on my stomach and yes sometimes he does walk on me to get there.
