A while back I started this thread about us getting a Siberian kitten that we named Clancy since I'm allergic to cats but wanted to do what I could so that my wife could once again have a cat in her life. You can read that thread right here...

http://www.thecatsite.com/t/243737/im-allergic-but-diving-in-this-should-be-interesting

I highly, highly, highly recommend the Siberian breed. I never thought in a million years that I would be able to have a pet cat indoors. I haven't had a single reaction to him at all. So if you or someone you know has a problem with cat allergies, think about looking into the Siberian breed. It has been worth every single penny.

Anyway, God help me, but I also started a YouTube channel for him to stick all of the videos that we happen to take now and then. I now present to you, ClancyCam. Feel free to check them out or subscribe if you wish. We will likely continue to post videos from time to time...

I would actually be up for it, but we don't have the money to spend on another Siberian, lol.

Here are two more from some that we uploaded recently. The first is us trying to give him his first bath, and the second is us trying to teach him to stand, which he does...almost too well...

Most people can, but I can't. I'm allergic.

:( I'm sorry.. I was a reading a article of cat breeds for people who are allergic to them and I saw that obivous the siberian and some other cats. Do you have one of those vacuums that pick up cat danger too. MY sister is allergic too and she has three cats. >< This what she does:

Got a HEPA vacuum. Vacuumed the apartment weekly if not more often. Cleaned down the walls with a wet rag weekly. "Washed" the cat once a week (put it in the tub and poured water on it). Washed hands immediately after petting kitty.

Tehee Again he is super cute! :D

It's ok, I'll keep the extra tips in mind!

I bought Clancy a Da Bird and he LOVES it. Here is a quick video I made of Clancy vs. Da Bird. I'm new to videos like this, and my wife told me to put some titles or something on the video, so here is that done in an incredibly basic way.

do u take him out on a leash in that harness?
We haven't yet. We are going to wait until we get him totally used to wearing the harness and walking on the leash indoors. It may take a while though, lol.

Here is the latest video, teaching Clancy to lay down...

Smart cat!  We came really close to getting a Siberian, but opted instead to go for a rescue kitten.  I had always wanted a short haired black cat of my own, but my husband was very interested in a Siberian.  We have friends and relatives that have allergies so we considered a Siberian as a good solution to the problem.  The fact that my daughter found a short haired black cat at a shelter, cinched it for me and I'm happy we made the decision.  Having said that, Siberians are not only beautiful and smart, but they come in many colours and are known for their great disposition...they are the whole package. It looks like the friends and relatives will just have to take an allergy pill before coming to my house...LOL

Your pictures and videos are fabulous!  Really nice to see a Siberian  companion on this site.  I will watch for more pictures and videos  from you of your darling Clancy. .

Hey guys, I haven't posted in this thread in almost a month. I have posted a lot of new videos of new tricks and other stupid stuff as well. Please feel free to check them all out and let me know what you think. Clancy is still learning more every day, and he is still very much into the process. I'm always thinking of new things to try to get him into. Here are a few of the latest videos...

Aw. he's so big now. You are hard core with the training. I kinda gave up on the clicker training because I couldn't really think of anything I wanted them to do.

He needs a bigger box.

We are going to take the training as far as Clancy will let it go. Right now we are working on waving bye to us, and he almost has it. I really want to teach him to crawl, and "time out" (where when I say the words and possibly point he goes and sits in the corner).

Yeah, we would have gotten a larger litter box but didn't want to spend the extra money until we saw that he would be able to take to a new litter box. In the next little while we'll get him a larger one for sure.
